Lesley-Ann Brandt was born Cape Town in South Africa on the 2nd of December, 1981. She is a model and actress who is well known for her appearances on screen and television. Brandt made her debut with New Zealand with the sitcom Diplomatic immunity. Her American debut came with her role as Naevia in the drama of the same name, Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress has appeared on several television shows over the past 10 years, including Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies The Librarians as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Brandt is the character Mazikeen on the show based on urban fantasy Lucifer that stars Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro. Brandt was raised in Cape Town, South Africa. They moved to Auckland, New Zealand with her family when she reached her teens. Her career began as an actress in print commercial advertisements. Prior to gaining recognition as a model, she was employed in sales at retail and as an information technology recruitment consultant. Her first starring performance in the year 2009 on the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity where she took on the character of Leilani Fa'auigaese. In 2021, she had her debut appearance on Spartacus Blood and Sand on Starz. She was the role of slave girl Naevia. Her role as Naevia was reprised on the Spartacus prequel Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker was her co-star on three different TV shows that included Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). In 2016 she started playing a bounty-hunting demon named Mazikeen in Lucifer, the Netflix famous show Lucifer. It is her largest role so far. She co-stars on the show alongside Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro as well as D. B. Woodside.

She is a highly-acclaimed television host who hosts a myriad of series. An experienced broadcaster with more than twenty years of experience writing about economics and business she was instrumental in the establishment of television channel CNBC as among the topmost in the business and economy segment. It's easy to understand how her successful journalism career was meant for her. As a teenager, Maria tried to figure out what profession she wanted to pursue. At one point she wanted to become a musician, one day she would want to be as an interior designer.
